The Abusement Park (TAP) is a mixed ultimate frisbee team located in, and around, South Bend, In. TAP was formed in June of 2008 by the mastermind captain duo of Tom Carter and Dave Hoffman. Combining their illustrious frisbee experience and knowledge, the two led
TAP to an eventful, and successful, inagural season. Despite forming late in the season, TAP was able to finish 3rd at Hoosier Hodown, 2nd at Motown Throwdown, tie for 7th at CHC, and WIN the central plains sectional tournament. TAP's performance at regionals was
dissapointing at best, but considering where the season started, The Abusement Park had accomplished alot in a few short months. Hoping to avoid the late start that hampered 2008, TAP will be orgnazing in April this year, with tryouts and roster determinations by the end of May. We would
like to encourage anyone in or around the South Bend, Chicago, Indianapolis, or western Michigan area to consider joining The Abusement Park on our journey through the 2009 season, wherever that may take us. We hope to be competitive at all tournaments we enter, with
the mindset that any tournament we enter, we can win. We have played with, and beaten some, nationals level teams in the past, and we see The Abusment Park becoming one of those teams in the near future.
7-9-09: TAP is getting ready for its second tournament of the year. This weekend is Hoosier Hoedown in Bloomington, IN. Because of a wedding and other commitments the TAP roster for Hoosier Hoedown is only 13 players. Because of TAP only bringing a team at half strength we have decided to change our team name to Blah Still Loaded for this tournament. Here is the schedule for Hoosier Hoedown.
7-9-09: The Abusement Park played in there first tournament on June 26/27 in South Bend, IN. The host team won its first tournament of the year!! The team picture is above.
4-29-09: The Abusement Park is glad to announce the first annual Down With the Clown tournament which will be held in South Bend at the beautiful Junior Irish Soccer Complex. Click on DWTC on the left for more info.

3-23-09: Practice saw 12 people out this Sunday. We had a bunch of people out of town. We obviously are looking for better numbers for practice. Please, if you are in the area and want to play some frisbee please let us know.
3-16-09: Practice has been changed from Wednesday to Tuesday (17th) because the weather is supposed to be beautiful. Practice/workout will begin at 6pm.

3-13-09: Park tryouts have been changed.
The new tryout dates will be May 16/17 and May 30/31.
3-13-09: Practice is on for this Sunday from 1pm to 4pm at roseland park.

3-10-09: The first team workout for anyone in town will be tomorrow at 6pm at roseland park. Please be there cleated up and ready to go by 6pm. Core member Joe Ribaudo will be running the workout. If you would like to see the workout look here.
3-6-09: The Abusement Park tryouts will be held May 9th/10th and May 16th/17th.
3-6-09: We had our first core meeting and it was a very good start to the year. If you would like to read the notes from the meeting they are here. Joe Ribaudo should be coming out with his workout plan soon and will be posted to the site so stay tuned.
