4-2-09: Well, April is finally here!! South Bend will be having pickup tonight starting at 6:00pm at Roseland. We will play until darkness permits. Get out there because it is a beautiful day.

3-23-09: TAP practice/pickup this sunday saw 12 people out. Next practice will be Tuesday (3/24) starting at 6:00pm. TAP will start with a workout before actually playing.

3-16-09: TAP practice/workout has been switched from Wednesday to Tuesday (17th) because it is supposed to be beautiful tomorrow. Practice will begin at 6pm at Roseland park. All are welcome!!

3-15-09: The South Bend Ultimate message board is up and running!! I have added a link to the left. Please register and keep up with what is going on post as you wish.

3-15-09: Practice/pickup saw 18 people out on this beautiful day. We played for about 2 1/2 hours!! Remember that these are open for everyone to come.

3-13-09: The Abusement Park will be practicing this Sunday (3/15) from 1pm to 4pm. This will be open for everyone if they want to come play some pickup.

3-5-09: There will be pickup tonight starting at 6m at roseland. Hopefully everyone can make it out because it is such a beautiful day.

3-1-09: Finally its March!! Yesterday we did get out to play for a bit. We had Werb, Ribaudo, Goddard, Danica, QB, and myself. We played some 3 on 3 box but at least we can say we played frisbee in South Bend in February which hasn't happened in a long time.

2-28-09 Last Chance to throw in February is today. Carter, Werb, Lefty, Ribaudo, Goddard and myself will be meeting at Roseland at 2:00pm to throw around for a bit if anyone would like to meet us out there.

2-27-09: The Abusment Park captains have chosen the two core members for the team this year. Tom and I would like to conratualate Danica Hernandez and Joe Ribaudo as the new core members. The four core members will decide on practice and workout structures, offensive and defensive strategies, and will play a key role in deciding who will be making the 27 person roster this year. First core meeting will be this upcoming Wednesday.

2-24-09: There was an email sent out to the listserve about an all night indoor Ultimate Hat Tournament on March 7th in Grand Rapids, MI from 10pm on Saturday to 7am on Sunday. The cost per person will be $20-25 per person. If you are interested then let me know (southbendultimate@gmail.com). You will need to reserve your spot with the tournament director Amy at atyoung@umich.edu. The tournament will be at the Woodland Sports Complex in Grand Rapids, MI.

2-24-09: There is pickup tonight in St. Joe, MI inside a gym if anyone would like to go run around for awhile. If you are interested shoot me an email at southbendultimate@gmail.com

2-22-09: The Notre Dame Mens team ended up losing their crossover game on Saturday which relagated them to the B Bracket. Haven't heard yet how they finished. The women ended up Saturday at 0-3 and had one more game against Emory. I have not yet had any updates on how they finished.

2-19-09 Ok. I am going to go ahead and say that the chance for pickup is gone for this weekend since it snowed like crazy last night and the weather doesn't look much better for the weekend. Stay tuned because i have a feeling the weather is going to get better soon(but probably not). I want to play!!

2-21-09 The University of Notre Dame Men and Womens teams made the trek from South Bend to the College Mardi Gras tournament this weekend. Although they are going to have some fun on Bourbon street for sure, they will be competing against some of the top teams in the country. The men are the overall #1 seed(out of 57), in front of returning Mardi Gras and National Champion Wisconsin Hodags and the women are the #8 overall seed (out of 25). To compound on the pressure of living up to those seeds, both teams will be missing their Junior class because of Junior Parents weekend on campus. 2-21-09 Some results are in for Saturday of Mardi Gras.

Men: Went 2-2 and ended up 4th in their pool.

W Illinois (universe)
W Georgia Tech
L texas (universe)

Final Pool Play Standings

1. Texas (3-1)
2. Illinois (2-2) took 2nd on point diff.
3. UCF (2-2) one point away from taking 1st in last game against texas
(universe point)
4. ND (2-2) started slow but started to roll, taking a couple teams to
universe.
5. Gtech (1-3) beat Illinois

Women: Still waiting for scores to come in. The only score I know of is they lost to Michigan 1-13.
